Big & Little: An exhibit about size, proportion, and scale

Big & Little

An exhibit about size, proportion and scale

Is it big or is it little? How can you tell? People have been building and playing with doll houses for more than a hundred years. They look so real -- it s fun to imagine living inside those little spaces.

Each of these houses is a model of one that is actually much larger. The rooms, and everything inside them, are built to scale with the same proportions as a larger house.

Take a look around -- what will you find? Something big, or something little? Houses, boots, pitchers, chairs, forks and knives can you find something just your size?

You may even see a pair of "celebrity" shoes that belong to a superstar athlete.

Special thanks to Shaquille O'Neal and the Boston Celtics.
