For over 90 years, Boston Children’s Museum has served as a leader in Boston and within the museum community. The Museum exists to help children understand and enjoy the world in which they live. It is a private, non-profit, educational institution that is recognized internationally as a research and development center and pacesetter for children's exhibitions, educational programs and curriculum. Boston Children’s Museum focuses on three key areas of expertise: visitor programs, teacher resources and early childhood education.

The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Museum will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve.
The Museum opens at noon on New Year’s Day.
United States Armed Forces Active Duty Personnel and their dependents receive complimentary admission to Boston Children's Museum through September 6, 2010.
A valid Military ID must be presented at the admission desk when entering.
As of September 7, 2010, only United States Armed Forces Active Duty Personnel will receive complimentary admission.
