Relaxation Day
Tuesday, October 20th
11am-4pm
To grownups, sometimes it’s not easy to keep a balance among family, work, and personal well-being.
To children, it could be stressful when going through developmental and social changes.
Don’t worry, you are not alone!
Join other families on Relaxation Day for activities to calm our bodies, redirect our attention, and enjoy the world with all our senses.
Program Highlights include:
- Infant Massage Lesson: learn simple strokes that calm both the baby and grownup. Class will be conducted by licensed Infant Massage Master Teacher, Ms. Tina Allen, owner and founder of Liddle Kidz Foundation. For ages 3-months-old to crawlers. No experience necessary. Please RSVP and get pre-class information from Lok-wah Li, PlaySpace Educator, at li@bostonkids.org or 617-426-6500 ext 377
- Family Yoga Lesson: recommended to families with children ages 3 and up
- Therapy Dogs*: come pet these friendly canines!
- Exploring Collection Objects: practice your gentle hands in touching the Museum’s animal collections!
- Calming incense: explore the different scents at the Japanese house.
- Autumn Scribbles: relax with a personal space and sidewalk chalk outside the Museum.
- Shaving Cream Fun (for ages 0-3 in PlaySpace): experience the smooth and fluffy texture with your hands.
* Therapy Dogs will be in the building between 11-3pm, on the second floor in the Common, Countdown to Kindergarten, and in PlaySpace.
