Group Reservation Policies  

Payments Policy
All Group Leaders are required to check-in at the admissions desk upon arrival. We accept Cash, Checks, any major Credit Card or Authorized Purchase Orders. Membership, other discounts and passes are not applicable for group visits.

Authorized Purchase Orders
In order for your group to be billed after your trip, you will need to have a copy of the authorized purchase order available the day of your scheduled visit or you may fax the purchase order (3) days before your visit to: 617.426.1944 Attn: Group Visits/Your Group Reservation Number. Failure to have the correct information will prolong your check-in time which could shorten your visit.

Pre-Paid Visit
Groups that wish to pay for their visit in advance may do so via phone only, (617) 426-6500 ext. 405. If you make a reservation on-line and want to pre-pay for your visit, please call at least one week before your scheduled visit to process a full payment. Major credit cards are the only method of payment accepted for pre-paid visits and the card used must be presented at the Admissions desk when checking in. All terms and conditions apply; please review our cancellation and refund policy for further details.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
All cancellations or rescheduling must be requested at least 7 days prior to your originally scheduled visit. Failure to call 7 days in advance will result in a $50 cancellation fee which will be billed to your organization.

If you have pre-paid for your visit and wish to cancel or reschedule you must do so at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled visit, your group will be charged the $50 cancellation fee and the remaining balance will be refunded to the credit card used on the account.

Please call (617) 426-6500 ext. 405, or e-mail GroupVisits@BostonChildrensMuseum.org to cancel your reservation or to leave a message. Please have your reservation number available when cancelling.

Refund Policy
Refunds for payments that exceed the balance due of the visit will only be issued if they are more than $35. The refund will be mailed to the organization after their visit or refunded to the credit card used on the account. This policy applies to pre-filled out checks presented at the admissions desk and credit cards used to pre-pay for the visit. There are NO cash back refunds given at the admissions desk. Lunch at the Museum (located on the 1st floor):
Please plan to eat lunch before or after your visit, as you cannot re-enter the Museum. In nice weather your group can eat outside on the boardwalk in front of the Museum. Lunch bins are available for your group during your 2-hour visit. Aside from water, no food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the Museum exhibits. Plan your lunch ahead of time, and order from Au Bon Pain.

School Bus Transportation
Please arrange drop-off and pick-up according to your scheduled visit. If bus transportation is late, please have your group wait in the lunchroom or outside. No groups should be in the exhibit area after their (2 hour) scheduled time. Directions/Bus drop off instructions
