Through our innovative Exhibit-in-a-Kit Program,
there is an easy and cost-effective way to construct professional
quality replicas of some of our most popular exhibits.
Each kit provides you with blueprints,
graphics, program handouts, promotional materials and a comprehensive,
easy-to-follow assembly manual. Best of all, these kits reflect
the skills and experience of our exhibit developers and designers
and the knowledge gained from rigorous evaluation and field-testing
of each exhibit with educators, content specialists, and our

The price of the kit shown here is the only cost you will owe
to us for design.
ESTIMATED
MATERIALS COST
The estimated cost of materials
is based on the assumption you would need to buy every item

BUBBLES
BUBBLES offers a playful lesson in geometry
and structural form. While blowing giant bubbles through bottomless
containers, stretching a bubble sheet five feet high, or forming
bubble domes and foamy beehives, this exhibit gives kids an
opportunity to become familiar with some basic principles
of physics. The intent is to awaken curiosity and stimulate
further exploration at home or in the classroom.
BUBBLES contains four interactive stations with the following
six activities:
- Large Bubble Dome
- Bubble Cells
- Frame-a-Bubble
- Stretch-a-Bubble
- Blow-a-Bubble
- Bubble Tent

RACEWAYS
RACEWAYS offers the opportunity to learn about the simple
physics of moving objects. Golf balls loop, roll, spin, collide
and race down roller coaster ramps to demonstrate velocity,
gravity, friction, acceleration and momentum.
These simple games challenge skill and judgement through scientific
experimentation. The principle of motion experiments formulated
by Newton and Galileo centuries ago are very similar to the
ones in this exhibit. It is designed to be approachable and
to encourage further experimentation with materials at home
or in school.
RACEWAYS contains six interactive stations:
- Motion in a Dish
- The Big U
- Hit the Bucket
- Loop the Loop
- The Spiral
- The Roller Coaster

WEAVING
WEAVING is a creative exhibit that encourages children to make
choices, meet challenges and solve problems. Kids can make decisions
about colors and patterns, explore endless creative possibilities,
and arrive at more complex ideas such as texture and design.
Men and women have been weaving for over 20,000 years, interlacing
flexible materials to make something stronger than the sum of
its parts. Found in most cultures around the world, weaving
can be done by either hand or machine, using natural or synthetic
materials. The uses for woven things are endless, from a sail
on a ship to a pad on a band-aid. The kit contains plans to
build 2 different types of looms for different age levels. One
is wall mounted and the other is free standing.
PRICE OF KIT $500*
ESTIMATED MATERIALS COST $1625
ESTIMATED LABOR TIME 16 Hours
SPACE REQUIRED 100 Square Feet
*PLEASE NOTE: The Weaving Kit includes blueprints and materials
lists only. |
