Making America's Music: Rhythm, Roots & Rhyme
Designed in collaboration with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Making America’s Music encourages active participation in music making to promote a life-long appreciation of music. This exhibit celebrates the joy and diversity of American music, evoking the flavor and spirit of genres from jazz to country, from rock to rap. Approximately 2,500 square feet, Music is accompanied by Marketing materials, educational programming, and assembly manual. Play along in the country music tour-bus, learn to dance at the 1950’s sock hop, create your own dynamic music mix at the Street Beat, or just browse through selections in the 100 CD juke-box. You can even stand in for Keith Lockhart as conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra as you control the tempo and volume of the orchestra with the wave of a conductor’s wand. Music has traveled all over the country to the delight of venues and children alike.
