BOSTON CHILDREN’S MUSEUM IN THE COMMUNITY
Boston Children’s Museum engages children and families in joyful discovery experiences that instill an appreciation of our world, develop foundational skills, and spark a lifelong love of learning. A bridge between Boston’s schools, neighborhoods and communities, Boston Children’s Museum is dedicated to making hands-on learning experiences accessible to all children and families. In addition to providing library passes and affordable admission to groundbreaking exhibits, Boston Children’s Museum partners with local communities through the following programs:

The BNY Mellon CityACCESS Teen Ambassadors at Boston Children’s Museum met with Boston community leaders to learn firsthand about the civil rights movement.  Learn about their enlightening experience.

BNYMELLON CityACCESS: An Investment In Youth

BNYMellon CityAccessBNYMellon CityACCESS: An Investment In Youth, funded through the generosity of the Arthur F. Blanchard Trust, was created to positively influence the future of Boston's young people. The grant program provides enriching out-of-school opportunities through a special partnership with six community-based organizations: Boston Nature Center, Boston Children's Museum, Malden YMCA, MassVote, South Boston Neighborhood House, South Boston Community Health Center, and Chelsea REACH

Offering access to both job and life skill opportunities, BNYMellon CityACCESS sponsors 36 inner-city young people (known as Teen Ambassadors), empowering them to discover their potential through unique work apprenticeships. In addition, five teens who best demonstrate a commitment to their work and future are awarded a $5,000 scholarship for higher education upon completing the program.

Teen Ambassadors at Boston Children's Museum serve as Museum staff. They host events at the museum, and extend the museum experience at community fairs and festivals. The Teen Ambassadors, all fluent in languages that represent Boston’s linguistic diversity, develop both personally and professionally while working with communities throughout the Boston area.

Donations of passes or memberships for Charitable causes

Thank you for your interest in Boston Children's Museum. BCM receives hundreds of requests annually for donations to support events sponsored by a wide range of local nonprofits. Because BCM is also a nonprofit organization, it is not within our means to fulfill these many worthy requests. We encourage you or a member of your event committee to purchase a Gift Membership or Gift Passes and donate them to your event. As an added incentive, people who are already BCM members can purchase a gift membership for 10% off.
