About YMEC

YMEC is a non-profit organization made up of six leading youth museums:

Bay Area Discovery Museum
Boston Children’s Museum
Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose
Long Island Children's Museum
Minnesota Children’s Museum
Stepping Stones Museum for Children

The six member museums represent metropolitan area populations of approximately twenty million people in the United States. The museums directly serve over four million visitors annually. Approximately three hundred full-time staff and over three thousand volunteers support operations in the geographically diverse institutions.
