Play It By Ear is an innovative arts exhibition that invites children and families to touch, experiment, and interact with works of art. Engaging children through the fascinating world of sounds, the exhibition features creations by five sound artists and includes a workshop area where children can make their own sound art sculptures. Play It By Ear also uses art as an effective means to teach children the scientific properties of sound. Labels describe the "tinkering" processes each artist used to create his or her artwork, inviting visitors to think about sound as a medium for self-expression.
